321 Stainless Steel Sheet 2b Ba Finish
Description
Alloy 321 (UNS S32100) is stabilized stainless steel plate which offers as its main advantage an excellent resistance to intergranular corrosion following exposure to temperatures in the chromium carbide precipitation range from 800 to 1500°F (427 to 816°C). Alloy 321 stainless steel plate is stabilized against chromium carbide formation by the addition of titanium.
Alloy 321 stainless steel plate is also advantageous for high temperature service because of its good mechanical properties. Alloy 321 stainless steel plate offers higher creep and stress rupture properties than Alloy 304 and, particularly, Alloy 304L, which might also be considered for exposures where sensitization and intergranular corrosion are concerns.
321 stainless steel plate of Ti as a stabilizing element exists, but it is also a hot steel grade, in high temperature is better than 316 l stainless steel plate. 321 stainless steel plate in different concentration and temperature of organic acid and inorganic acid, especially in oxidizing medium has good abrasion resistance, used in the manufacture of wear resistant acid containers and equipment.
321 stainless steel plate is Ni-Cr-Mo austenitic stainless steel plate, its performance is very similar to 304 stainless steel plate, but because of the addition of titanium metal, it has better grain boundary corrosion resistance and high temperature strength. The formation of chromium carbide is effectively controlled by adding titanium metal.
